My first week of project has gone extremely well for me. The bulk of my project has been split between two different places. One location at Broadview Heights and another one and Valley View. My first two days at valley view I helped John train teams of AVC volleyball teams. Some were big groups of 15+ and some were only 4 or 5. So I had a good feel for how to train in different types of groups. The fact that the girls were about 12 years old meant that it took a great deal of leadership and discipline. When I wasn't helping John train I would do my own workouts and make sure I learn how to do all of the exercises to the best of my abilities. On Thursday when I was a Broadview Heights I really challenged myself and decided to take part in a cross fit class where there is a lot of endurance running involved. Sine long distance running is not my strong suit I was very proud of myself to be able to preform this and complete this class. Today I just got done doing my first group alone. I had someone watching me but for the most part I was on my own to train them and I think I did a very good job.

  1. That's cool Josh! I recently got a cross fit jacket and have become motivated to try it sometime! What kind of workouts does it consist of? I also think that your project is really cool because you have the opportunity to train yourself while also gaining the experience of leading others. I know you’re playing football in college so I think it will be beneficial for you to continue to push yourself at this project and start summer training early rather than when everyone else is just beginning. What is your main goal to accomplish by the end of the project?
