Bright Pink

I started the day by helping Cori, one of the owners of Haven Style House, pick out shirts to sell in the store for upcoming seasons. Since Haven House is a small store, they only buy a couple sizes of each item, causing the product to sell out quickly. Therefore, it is important for them to constantly be restocking and bringing in new inventory. After helping with inventory, I designed an outfit to post as the outfit of the day for the Instagram and twitter accounts for the store. Using social media is a great way for the store to reach its customers in a modern and fun way. It helps keep customers updated on new merchandise in the store. Last week, I posted an outfit of the day and a customer had commented on the Instagram picture that she loved the romper in the picture and that she wanted one to be held for her. A simple post has more impact than it seems. After that I worked on my next blog post. This blog post described the non-profit organization, Bright Pink. Haven Style House is trying to raise money for Bight Pink, which helps educate women about early detection and prevention for ovarian and breast cancer, while also giving support to women currently battling cancer. I decided that I wanted to help out so as part of my senior project, I am organizing an event for this Saturday at the store for girls to come and shop and if they donate to Bright Pink, they will receive 15% off their purchase. In addition, there will be baked goods sold at the store with all proceeds going to Bright Pink.
