Personal Shopping

Today I ventured to the mall with my mentors as I experienced my first day of “personal shopping.” “Personal shopping” is a service Haven Style House provides in which they will charge the customer a flat rate for the amount of time spent and then they will help them find what they need. The service is usually done in the store. However, today the client was looking for shoes to go with a dress she purchased in the store and since Haven Style House doesn’t carry shoes, they took her to the mall and found her a pair there. I personally love helping other people shop and creating an entire outfit so I had a lot of fun. I love providing new insight on what looks good on people and what looks cute with what and then I love seeing the customers’ excitement when they find a product that they love and they feel great in. After the session, I helped create an invitation for a promotional trunk show the store is having with another store. After I finished that, I helped decide which products the store would buy for the fall season. Finally, I learned in depth about the various databases and websites the store uses to stay organized and order their clothes.
