Marketing
I had the opportunity today to learn a lot about marketing and promotion for Haven Style House. In order to reach out to customers and to keep expanding clientele, the co-owners of Haven Style House constantly have events to attract new customers. Once a month they will have a “happy hour” for which the whole store is 20% off. Today I helped put together an “outfit of the day” to then post on Instagram and Twitter so that clients can see the new merchandise and then can get ideas on how to style the clothes in an outfit. Additionally, I released my first official weekly blog post for the store. My theme for this week was summer dresses in which I highlighted some of the many new dresses in the store and described for which summer occasions they could be worn to. I had a lot of fun making my blog post because I got to model the clothes and take pictures all around Chagrin Falls. Additionally, I helped with inventory by going around the store and marking which sizes they have of each item and then I edited their system on the computer so that the store was up to date. Additionally, the store had a video shoot today done by Cleveland Scene Magazine to help promote the store as well as different Cleveland spots like the falls, the Popcorn Shop, and of course the store itself.

That's really awesome Raquel! I think it's cool that you get to be involved in all of these different things and you’re not just sitting around in the store. It seems that you’re having a really fun time and you have the opportunity to express your passion of fashion in your project. I've seen your utilization of social media to support the store and your project and I think that by broadcasting the company for everyone to see, it will be really beneficial for you in the long run. I'm excited to read more about what you’ll be doing with the company!
